Jenny asked simply “What is the number one most important step to getting your life back on track?

While the most important step for getting your life back on track would very much depend on the person and their unique set of circumstances I was able to reply and hopefully give Jenny an answer she could build from.

Thank you for requesting your copy of my ‘Getting Back on Track’ ePack and subscribing to my membership at NewEndBeginning.com.

I don’t know you or your specific situation - or even if you ask the question for yourself or if you have someone else in mind.

Here’s an idea based on something important to me and my overall recovery.

It has been instrumental in how I have been able to raise myself from the blackest hole of despair and how I am able to maintain a positive, prosperous and purposeful life today.

Begin to get your life back on track with Hope.

“Hope”. I would often read and hear other people say “You must have hope” and I would think “How can I have hope when I feel so hopeless!” Can you relate Jenny?

But here’s the good news. Don’t add any brain strain trying to “effort” the Hope into reality - no - doing that only made me feel worse.

Instead I discovered that when I repeated in my mind  ”I’m WILLING to have Hope” - that’s when  my despair started to fade!

Every day and many times throughout the day I would affirm “I’m WILLING to have Hope”.  In fact I would repeat that affirmation in the first, second and third person - as follows:

“I am WILLING to have Hope” (1st person)

“You are WILLING to have Hope” (2nd person)

“He is WILLING to have Hope” (3rd person)

Jenny, being selectively willing in life opens not only your mind up to the possibilities all around you but it also - as if by miracle - opens the doors to all sorts of help and assistance from a multitude of sources and in other ways.

When you begin to be WILLING - you begin to be consciously aware of yourself  as being WILLING.

You might need to read that sentence over a couple of times to really get a grasp of it.

The truth in that sentence is more powerful than you might think!

It’s like a weight coming off your shoulders.

Instead of beating yourself up and tearing yourself down with self-talk like “C’mon, make the effort to be more positive”  and “If you would only try harder and get serious about this etc etc” you have the freedom to simply allow yourself to be WILLING to accept Hope as the starting point for a positive change of circumstances.

You can then begin to expand and grow your WILLINGNESS to include being WILLING to be stronger, happier, more positive, more organized or what ever else it is you feel you would like to include.

And so the ‘Ah-hah!’ moment in this message is the awareness that the beginning of getting your life back on track must start within.

One of my favourite sayings is ‘Begin all things with the end in mind”.

And so, when you begin to express your WILLINGNESS to find Hope, you do so with a forward focus toward a positive future.

The real key is seeing yourself as moving toward that which you desire and not as moving away from that which you don’t.

I wish I knew a little more of your situation Jenny so I could be more specific - however - I feel that because you had the motivation to seek an answer you have already turned a corner and created a new end beginning now!

Ben’s Looking Good and Back on Track

Professional Australian Rules footballer Ben Cousins (above) has shown such commitment in the last twelve months. Well done Ben!

IT’S enough to make fans, friends and family of Ben Cousins
rejoice - if his appearance is anything to go by he’s finally getting back on track.

In his first public appearance this week since moving to Melbourne, he looked refreshed and relaxed, not the dishevelled and disoriented look of only a year ago.

Cousins attended the launch of luxury lifestyle publication Box Magazine this week at Sketch in the Docklands, in support of James Dutton, of the luxury car dealer family, and Perth publisher Troy Barbagallo, who are behind the magazine.

Cousins is a subscriber to Dutton Direct, the luxury online car trading business. He was more than happy to support the launch, posed for photos, and was sociable.

“It was great to see him looking so good, it really looked like he turned a corner,” Dutton said.

The banned West Coast football star was “perfectly behaved”, according to guests at the launch.

“He was not drinking and was a perfect gentleman,” a guest said.

And Cousins drew a lot of attention from local glamour girls, proving he’s lost none of his charm, before leaving around 8.30pm.

Cousins has moved to Melbourne to try and resurrect his footy career after drug rehabilitation.

He is also believed to be filming a documentary about the dramas of the past couple of years.

What Goes Around Comes Around

It’s true it seems - what goes around in this world comes around.

Another idea comes to mind. The idea of casting your positivity into the world knowing that the natural law of reciprocity (nature sending back to you what you give out - multiplied) will nurture and grow your positivity.

When I was at my lowest in life not all that long ago before I got things Back On Track the idea of giving anything to anyone was the furthest thing from my mind. The only thing I was spreading around freely was negativity.

I was so bitter and sour about the world and everything and everybody in that all I expected from the world was anything I could take for free. Of course that’s not how the real world works and we really gain an appreciation of that when  we begin to turn our thinking around and prepare to get our lives Back On Track.

I recently stumbled across a young guy on You-Tube. Ryan Wade is his name at http://www.ryanwade.com.

Ryan is one of the most naturally open and honest appearing people I have seen online for a while. His niche is Internet Marketing and if you have any interest in making money from the world wide web then I strongly encourage you to jump over to his site and check him out.

So, thanks to Ryan I have found a great new tool that I have added to my blog. It is basically a fancy tip jar, where you can tip me $5, but in return, have your link advertised on this very site.

Release Your Excuses And Set Yourself Free

What was your last excuse?

Poor relationships?  “Not my fault”.

Depressed?  “Must be a chemical imbalance” (but always seek professional advice).

Anxious, afraid?  “Who wouldn’t be in this situation”.

Low self-esteem?  “Sure, I really am not good enough;
that’s why I feel the way I do”.

I am so happy to be writing to you.

Doing so means that I have succeeded in a big way! I told
myself I would write you when I met my goal.

Here’s my story:

I purchased “Eating for Excellent Health Now!”, “I Love
Exercising Now!”, and “Setting and Achieving Goals Now!” a
couple years ago from Think Right Now!

I was experiencing positive changes while listening to
them.

Unfortunately, I did not stick with them for very
long. As a result I fell back into my old habits and
attitudes.

In September 2007 I was really struggling. I wasn’t
eating well, I felt like my days were filled with
meaningless tasks, I wasn’t exercising, and I felt myself
start to spiral downward.

Fortunately for me, I remembered the Think Right Now CDs
were in my desk cabinet.

I knew I needed help with my thoughts.

They were getting pretty negative and I could not even
think ‘positive’ on my own.

It took all my effort just to start listening to one of the
CDs.

The timing was perfect. After about a week of listening
to “I Love Exercising Now!” and “Eating for Excellent
Health Now!,” I decided to get back into the gym. In my
heart I loved working out, but felt so bad about how long
it had been, that I could not bring myself to walk into the
gym. The next day my best friend called to tell me she had
joined the gym and asked if I would help her get started
using the free weights and machines. I told myself ‘great
timing.’ I starting exercising four days a week, and
continued to listen to both CDs. At this point I also
loaded them to my Ipod and was listening to them at least
once a day each.

The story continues to get better. About a month later, I
was feeling pretty good about myself. I was exercising on
a regular basis, eating healthy, and feeling like I had my
life back. It was time to get control of my day and
eliminate the meaningless tasks that had overtaken my life.
I started listening to “Setting and Achieving Goals Now” in
addition to the other two CDs. My life really took a turn
for the positive. I started using my old daily planning
system - I would write down the tasks I wanted to
accomplish for the day or week, prioritize them, and then
work them one by one.

It didn’t take long before I started not just looking at
the obvious tasks for the day (bills, laundry, etc.), but I
actually looked ahead in my life - months down the road.
Another amazing thing happened. A different girlfriend had
just competed in the Police Olympics in couples
Bodybuilding and women’s Figure. She knew that 10 years
ago I had done a Fitness competition and she asked if I
would ever consider training for a Figure competition. She
caught me at the right time - I was looking and feeling
better - I was getting fit again, and eating healthy seemed
pretty easy while listening to the CDs. Feeling extra
confident on this particular day, I said “Yes, it is
actually a dream of mine to do something in Fitness.” I
knew it was an unfulfilled dream of mine to compete again.
(The first time I competed I did not have the support of
tapes/CDs like Think Right Now. I was fortunate though to
have a very emotionally charged goal that kept me going NO
MATTER WHAT. )

After some discussion and planning, we decided to enter
the NPC San Diego Figure Championships that were scheduled
for March 15, 2008. It was October 1, 2007 and a BIG GOAL
was set! A dream goal was put in motion. I knew more than
ever I needed the assistance of the Think Right Now programs.

So off I went. I knew in my heart that I could do it IF I
stayed totally focused on the positives and not the
negatives. Although the goal of competing was motivating,
the path to get there would not be easy. I listened
faithfully to all three CDs, rotating though each one as my
‘attitude’ needed. I was very diligent in my ‘listening’
right up until the holidays. With Christmas shopping and
other family commitments, I found myself listening to the
CDs less frequently, even skipping some days. Slowing some
of the old programs crept back in, and by New Years I was
pretty much ready to give up training for the competition.

I was in tears one day when I decided to call one of my
best friends and sing my sad story to her. Fortunately,
she believed in me and told me I CAN do it. She was
forward looking and asked ‘what do you need to get back on
track’. After I cried about all the things that were going
wrong I realized that my overwhelming negative thoughts had
to be shut down immediately!

I hung up the phone with her knowing exactly what I needed
to do: Sit down and listen to the Think Right Now
programs.

So for the next 2 hours I sat on my couch and just
listened, and then listened some more. By the end of those
2 hours my defeated attitude was gone and I could
realistically address the issues I was facing in preparing
for the competition.

One of my next steps was to call my girlfriend and to
‘confess’ that I had slacked off a bit. Well, what do you
know - she was in the same boat as I was. After going
though all our troubles, she told me that either way she
was going to do the competition. That was all I needed to
hear. The pressure was off - I wasn’t going to let her
down, only myself. If she was that confident about being
able to prepare in the time available, certainly I could
step it up a bit. My revised game plan included listening
to the Think Right Now programs all day long! As a stay at
home mom I had plenty of opportunity to listen to my ipod
throughout the day.

The ‘Exercise Now’ program helped me to keep up with my
workouts, and to push myself where I needed to. The
statements about patience really struck a cord with me, and
carried me through some of my toughest days when I wanted
my physique to change in front of my eyes! These words
kept me calm and focusing, helping me realize the physical
changes would come in time. In addition, this program
helped me to have faith that I could actually reshape my
physique to be an effective competitor.

I had looked at many pictures of the pros and at times
started to feel that my physique was so far away from where
it needed to be! This program helped me to keep the faith!

The Eating Healthy program helped me in several ways.
First, I had to eat five times a day. This required me to
cook some of my food ahead of time so I can just measure,
warm and eat. It seemed like a breeze to do this. I had
to eat every three hours and my last meal was 2-3 hours
before bed. I would put the CDs on and listen to them
after dinner to keep me on track and away from late night
snacking.

The biggest thing the CDs helped me with is focusing on
the ‘good’ food I was eating. The tapes helped me to block
out all the distractions that other food could have had.

Finally, the Goals program helped me to think BIG.

As I listened to this CD I could feel my confidence grow!
The beliefs I gained from this are so powerful. As the
competition date grew closer, I was focused, positive, and
easily completed all the final workouts, meals, posing
practice, etc. that was required in order to be ready for
the competition.

Well, the competition date finally arrived. In addition
to my goal of reaching a certain weight and body fat
percentage, I also had a goal to win my category in the
competition. I met my weight and body fat goal perfectly!

And while I did not take 1st place, I did place in the top
5, coming home with a 4th place trophy! I was so excited!
This was a big goal of mine that only weeks before did I
dare even think about achieving. Wow, it actually came
true! I cannot even tell you how awesome it felt at that
moment. It was surreal.

My journey was DEFINITELY made easier and more enjoyable
by listening to all three programs. And I don’t mean
easier like people my think - like it was no big deal. I
mean easier ‘mentally’ because I eliminated all the
negative thoughts and negative talk. When this is
eliminated, even the tough tasks seem easier, even the
longest journey seems shorter. I look forward to
continued success with my goals related to healthy eating
and fitness.

Cutting Edge Technology in Self Improvement

Hello and it’s back to business for most people following our Easter break.

And yet again Mike Brescia of Think Right Now! has sent me a timely piece of information.

Here below is his latest email:

Hi Michael

Over the last four or five years, with the number of
people getting computers and getting on the Internet
increasing massively, the volume of questions has increased
in our client support services inbox.  More and more, it
has been getting deluged with comments of frustration and
requests concerning our opinions of all the various self-
help products and services out there.

The reason for this is that over the last 10 years, self-
help websites have proliferated and they all promise
impossible changes and benefits to your emotional and
physical and financial and social well-being.

The claims on these hundreds of websites are just so
incredible and promise automatic, effortless change that,
when people finally get their product and see that just
like most everything else they’ve bought in the past, they
feel cheated.

Because all they have is another book, CD or DVD that
provides little more than a lecture, or a giant set of
manuals that there’s no way in the world they are going to
follow through on, because it’s all beyond their comfort
level (both the work involved and the promise of a
different reality).  It’s beyond their ability to believe
they can achieve or believe they deserve to achieve.

Because it’s just information.

I understand this all too clearly, because for about six
years in my late teens and twenties, I tried very hard to
be successful in life. I tried to dream big. I tried to
achieve some modest yet challenging goals.  And I couldn’t.

I read books. I listened to tapes.  I watched videos. I
took mountains of vitamin supplements.  I took classes.
Positive thinking.  Motivation.  Psychology.  Technique
based (college).  I literally read constantly and listened
to tapes constantly while I worked, while I drove from
place to place, and even while I slept.  Didn’t work.  I
ended up living in a van.

What I learned was that, yes, it does help to know what to
do…

But you also need to change on the inside in order to make
major outer changes in your life.

You cannot get one without the other.

You better face that truth now, if you’ve don’t believe it.

The promise of a “dream life” without inner change is so
attractive to most people that they jump at it, and when
the book/tape/seminar can’t do what they’ve been promised,
they say “it doesn’t work.”

But it’s them that didn’t work.

And it’s really not their fault, frankly.

Because expecting people to easily do things they’ve never
done, is like asking a cat to bark like a dog.

I mean, if I was selling a training class that promised to
help you teach your cat to bark like a dog, you would fail.
Because cats can’t bark like a dog and they never will.

And just getting information about how to achieve some big
dream you have is also doomed to fail if you do not have
the same core moment-by-moment mental patterns (thoughts,
beliefs, attitudes, emotions) as the people who already
easily and naturally do what you want to do.

And “being positive” isn’t what I mean.

Because I know some incredibly happy, optimistic, positive
people.

But a few of these people are so out of shape physically,
that it a wonder they are still alive.

They own the belief and thought patterns of happiness and
optimism, but they don’t have the same belief and thought
patterns needed for good health.

Those ARE different mental patterns altogether.

Just like belief systems for very organized people are
different than those of non-schmokers.

Yes, they are both desirable habits to have but they have
nothing to do with each other… because there are
organized schomkers and there are disorganized schmokers…

Just as there are ORGANIZED healthy people and
DISORGANIZED healthy people.

Are you getting this?

Being “positive” or “nice” or “enthusiastic” guarantees
nothing.

Sure, everyone should be positive and nice and
enthusiastic about life.  But it does not assure you that
you’ll get anything you want.

Zip.

And thinking that a book will ever be your ticket to a
radically different life, especially if your life-long
habits are the polar opposite to what is taught in the
book, is uh, well, that is preposterous.

Changing your brainwave patterns has value, and I heartily
recommend using tools that can help that happen.

Changing your body’s energy flow has tremendous value to
your health, and I recommend therapies that make that happen.

Supplements and medicines that help improve health are a
Godsend for so many people.

Yet none of those things can help you to feel differently
emotionally than the way you have been programmed to feel
you whole life.

None of those things will help you take goal achieving
actions that can and will transport you to a different life.

That is the domain of thought and behavior modification.

Information can’t change patterned thoughts and behaviors.

Becasue information is usually just in one ear and out the
other.

Information and knowledge is ONLY power when in the
possession of a person who has the ability to use it.

If you want that power, if you want to feel differently,
if you want to be able to act differently, if you want to
be able to make better decisions, then you must make the
choice to start using our Think Right Now!
and Instant Inner Power programs.

If you aren’t, you are missing out on some of the most
powerful, simplest and quickest changes you could possibly
imagine.

They do things information cannot.

They quickly help you change the way you feel so that you
can make different decisions and take different actions.

Change - Damn It!

Happy Easter everyone!

I just received an email from the founder of Think Right Now! Mike Brescia and I’d like to share it with you.

Swipe Card to Success

No matter how you view success, there are many different ways to turn your life into a more successful one.

And here, we have outlined several keys to success that almost anyone can use, regardless of whether you want to make changes in your business, lose weight or improve a relationship.

A Plan
Without a plan, everything is doomed right from the start. Key No.1, you MUST have a plan.

If not a concrete one, at least have a basic idea of how you’re going to reach your goal.

Let’s say you want to have a better relationship with your partner.

Some of the things you may have to think about are….what does your partner like, what would make them feel good, how would you like the relationship to change, what would make you (yes you!) feel better or happier with the relationship…etc.

After identifying areas of change, devise a plan that can help you work towards the changes in the relationship.

If it’s better business results you want, devise a plan that won’t break your bank account to help bring in more sales. Creative ideas and innovative execution if often required.

Focus
It’s easy for any one of us to get distracted in the middle of the journey, no matter how gung-ho we started out in the beginning.

At the starting point, you’re excited and raring to go; towards the middle, it gets harder and you’re struggling to remember why you’re doing this in the first place. And when you get past the hardest parts, it’s the final leg of your journey, the focus and the endurance part.

In order to be successful, you have to consistently work towards that goal, make an effort to REMEMBER that goal and repeatedly psyche yourself up for it every single day.

If you want to earn a million dollars from your business within 3 years, you’ve got to sit down and ENVISION yourself rolling around in the money.

You’re happy and financially free, in your vision. You see, the more you envision yourself in the situation, the more you want it.

The more you want it to happen, the more the mind will help you strive and work towards that goal.

And when your mind is committed to the goal, everything will slowly but surely fall into its rightful place.

Be open to change and new ideas
Yes, you’ve got a plan and yes, you’ve got a sense of purpose now. But does this mean that you cannot change your plans or alter your purpose? No, definitely not.

Part of the process of reaching your goal requires that you remain open to other people’s ideas, input, feedback and thoughts. As soon as you spot something better, you have to grab it, evaluate it, decide whether you want to use the idea or not or how it would fit into your plan, and then discard it or use it.

The goal remains the same but the process can change.

If you are not adaptable to change, you may be losing out to your competition or your peers because they’re catching on with the latest technology and trends and reaching their goals faster than you.
